OUR MEAT


We are proud of our meat, we're proud of our cows!

Our Biltong is produced right here in the UK and sourced from Scottish cows.

We are keen to point out that our products come from living animals and we think it's important that our livestock maintains its natural instincts, natural behaviours and eats a diet that evolution has designed for it.

Here in the UK we are lucky that the majority of our beef is all grass-fed simply due to the abundance of grass! However, a lot of beef can still be fed grain (or finished) in the weeks prior to slaughter to increase meat yield. Our beef is grass-fed and grass-finished to ensure proper gut health and that hormonal balance is maintained.
Feeding cattle on the correct diet ensures the meat is of the highest quality and is the most nutritionally sound it can be.


Grass fed beef:

is higher in CLAs (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)
contains more Omega 3 Fatty Acids (Healthy Fats) 
is higher in Vitamins and Antioxidants.
Our meat contains a massive 53.9g of protein per 100g.
 
We think that all this makes for pretty happy cows and we are proud to support a meat industry that encourages this.
